Can't Wait To See Chris Rocks New Movie "Good Hair"

I'm so excited about Chris Rocks Movie "Good Hair" as there's constantly a debate as to what is considered "Good Hair". I personally feel i have good hair as it's all natural no track masters currently and it's healthy chemical free. That's my idea of "Good Hair". Had to be a black man to bring this kind of movie out lol.
But at least it gives guys an inside look at what we women go through to keep our hair on point so we can look good for them. I find it interesting how he has the men giving their experiences with getting a relaxer lol.

This movie is set to hit select theaters on October 9th and Nationwide October 13th I'll definitely be checking this out and of course I will be back to give my review on it so stay tuned for that but in the meantime check out the trailer below.

If you don't Know who Tionna T. Smalls is you better get familiar real soon as she is about to take the industry by storm.
I've known Tionna since elementary School (good lord that was sooo long ago) and one thing I can say about her and everyone who knows her will agree is that she was always destined for stardom.

Tionna Smalls is well known for her popular blog and blog talk radio show "Talk Dat Ish" and her self published book "Girl Get Your Mind Right" which is a book that gives women a little relationship advice. It's from her book that help her beat out a lot of important people to grab the position as chilli's Match Maker for her new Vh1 show currently being filmed at the moment.

Tionna Smalls is definitely one to watch and I'm so excited to see the show once it airs next year.

50 Cent Family Day in South Side Big Success!

Hello World! lol


Like I promised I was going to be in the house when 50 cent made his debut back to South Side Jamaica Queens. It was just weeks ago back in August when there was all the talk going on about the event. My brother was featured on Fox 5 news expressing his interest in 50 cent coming.

The Event finally took place this past saturday at P.S. 40 park. The event was titled "Forever Young" Family Day.
Before entering the park every went through security and was wanned down to secure everyones safety at this event. Of course the police were also in full force at this event as they were waiting for something to go down. Luckily it all ended well no fights broke out everyone came together as one.

At the event there were little street signs posted up to direct you to the different areas of the event. There was a street sign labeled "Food" and you stand in a assembly line and get some grub lol. They served Hot dogs, hamburgers, potato salad,
macaroni salad, beans (lol) , BBQ chicken and either a bottle of water or a Juicy Juice for the beverages. There were picnic tables set up in an area called "Grown Folk" street where you could sit and eat.

There was also carnival like games set up for the children where the kids one prizes even if they didn't win on "Game" Street
and they had a mini petting zoo with snakes, cockatoos and turtles on "Nature in My Hood" Street.



Not to mention there was rock climbing and moon bounce for the kids. The day was fun filled for the kids.
They also had face painitng (see pic below of my little sister Najah getting her face painted at 50 cent's event)


At about 4:30 the DJ announced are y'all ready for the show everyone screamed and ran for the stage. 50 Cent Came out with a whole crowd of people. Amongst that crowd was "Tony Yayo", "Lloyd Banks", & "Papoose". 50 cent did his thing with the event it was definitely a good look for the hood and on his part as it was a positive event despite the silent haters who were looking for something to happen.


I personally what like to say Thank You to 50 cent for doing this event and giving the kids and even the adults a free concert right in our neighborhood. 50 didn't have to do what he did but he did and I thank him. Check the video footage below courtesy of my G1 phone (lol).

I was in the midst of the crowd when they were going crazy while holding my lil sister and trying to capture everything so excuse the commotion at the beginning of the video. lol

Pink & Shakira VMA Twins! Who Wore It Best!

Shakira & Pink wore the same exact dress to the VMA Red carpet. I think they both looked great im not quite sure who wore it best what do you guys think?


Also I think next to Lady GaGa's performance Pinks was one of the best performances last nite with her trapeze act love her!

Lada Gaga Is one Crazy chick but you gotta love her!

Lady GaGa was the Lady of the Nite with her outrageous outfits and bloody performance. Looking as if she had her period on stage right in front of us ewwww lol. But you must admit this chick is very entertaining to say the least. Lady Gaga is definitely one to watch.






Lada GaGa stood out at the VMA's with her attention getting outfits and head pieces that she changed frequently .
Not to mention her like a virgin madonna- ish performance which ended with her all bloody hanging from a harness. I mustr
say it was entertaining and very theatrical.

Kanye West Set Us Back 5yrs At the Vma's

I gotta say I love Kanye West he never fails to surprise me but tonite I gotta say he kept me interested in watching the show tonite . But Dang Kanye this was Taylor Swifts first VMA award why you had to ruin it for the poor girl. Kanye West was later asked to leave. Luckily Beyonce came to the rescue and let taylor finish her speech. I honestly think Kanye was a lil tipsy as earlier he was photo'd on the red carpet with Amber Rose with a bottle of henny in his hand. hmmmmm very ghetto fab Kanye see pic below.

Lindsay Lohan Has a new Job title? Artistic Director!

Lindsay Lohan has been appointed Artistic Director for Ungaro's fashion line. According to WWD (Women's Wear Daily) her first collection with the label will premiere in Paris on Oct. 4th!. It's been stated that Lindsay sees the opportunity to improve her designing abilities as she currently has her own line of leggings called
6126 and take Ungaro's label to a younger audience.

Lindsay stated : "When I’m involved in a project, I give my all to it," Lindsay said. "I’ve always played a big part in what I wear, the costumes. Clothing is something that’s so expressive in so many ways...To be in a position where I’m working with a fashion house in Paris .

I'm interested to see what look and vibe lindsay will give to Ungaro's line I guess we will find out next month on the 4th! :)

Jay Z Set To Be On Oprah Winfrey Show Sept. 24th!

Brooklyn Bred Rapper Jay Z is set to appear on Oprah Winfrey's Show on Sept. 24th I will definitely be tuning in for this one as Jay Z will be I believe the 1st rapper to appear on her show as in the past Oprah was against having rappers on her show.

Jay Z stated : "I brought her around there really for the neighborhood," he explained. " 'Cause a lot of times, when you see people or you hear about Oprah Winfrey, she seems almost untouchable. When I saw her, it was shocking to me. So I know how that feels, to see someone on TV and hear their name and know they're so hugely successful. They seem unattainable ... but for them to be around the way and for kids to just see that."

Jay-Z said he wasn't worried about returning to his old neighborhood, joking that Winfrey had a presidential-like level of security with her.

"There was a lot of people out there," he said. "It was Oprah, you know? You don't want people to come snatch her up. [There was] like secret service and helicopters all around."

I'm loving the music and new look of upcoming artist Priscilla Renea she was discovered on youtube. Her fashion style is very colorful trendy modern look with a touch of 80's flair. Her music video for her song "dollhouse" premiered today on youtube see the link below to check out the video! This girl has really good music it's literally a breath of fresh air and her voice is very smooth and her lyrics to her songs are very clever. Check out her other singles "Hello My Apple" , Cry" and " I fell In Love With You". This artist is definitely one to watch out for. Her voice reminds me of rihanna's with out the accent and her hair style reminds me of one of my other r&b faves keri hilson. :)
